What is this passion for watercolour all about?

Wherever I go I look around and paint what I see, in my mind.  I work out how I would go about painting the scene;  the composition, the colours, the painting process but not always how it would look.  And when I sit in front of a clean sheet of paper all the cares of living melt away and I am absorbed by mixing colours, the shape of a brush, a bead of colour and the smell of wet watercolour paper (usually Arches).

I keep a blog (see below) in which I log each painting as I complete it with a short story about what was happening at the time of painting.   It is good to have you visit.  Leave a comment if you like though this is by no means necessary.
