Kogelbaai

Doing this in the demo yesterday made me want to do it again – so I tried again this afternoon – but I think I overworked it.

Anyway I am tired now and have a big day tomorrow.

I don’t think this looks over worked at all, Stephen. I embrace the contrasts achieved through value and love all the colors in the rocks.

You think? OK – thanks Leslie – actually I think it looks better now the next day – I remember thinking that the demo I did seemed to fade from the exciting colours that happened in the hall so I wanted to go bold from the start and I did. I aim to give this another go soon – I have not been able to find these rocks since I took the photos but yesterday I realised where they could be – so I want to go down there as soon as work allows. The storms in False Bay sometimes move these huge rocks around.
So thanks for the feedback and I hope to see you in week

Wow! This is really interesting. I love trhe perspective and I don’t think it is overworked. The color palette is great and so is the painting.

thanks hey – I love the feeling of being free to let watercolour do its own thing which I had a little here
