lunch with Kim and Tootsie

Kim and Tootsie and the kids have just hosted a mini amazing race in their neighbourhood and I went to chat and sit around the pool.  I met Steve, Frank’s brother, who I painted at the school concert.  He sat with his son on his lap while I started this painting.  As usual everyone moved around but I was able to get this far.   Steve and his family are immigrating to New Zealand soon so I gave them this painting as a memory of a last pleasant lunch with their friends.

This is painted on Arches Hot Pressed and is 280 x 360mm.

I like the loose and simple style to this.
The limited detail allows my mind to fill it in.
I like artwork that allows for that

such a gift, to be able to draw a subject making it completely unique, and then someone has a personal treasured moment captured for the rest of their lives.
    New Year wishes to you…xPenx
